Mission Statement
Our mission is to feed and teach at-risk youth life skills to become powerful assets to society and community leaders.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2020, there were approximately 13.9 million children in poverty in the United States, which is about 18.4% of all children in the country. The poverty rate for children is generally higher than the overall poverty rate for the population, which has fluctuated over time.
It is true that many people who have experienced difficulties or hardships in their own lives may be particularly motivated to help others who are facing similar challenges. Often, the experience of overcoming adversity or receiving support from others can inspire a desire to give back and pay it forward by helping others. This can be a powerful way to turn difficult experiences into something positive by using them as an opportunity to connect with others and make a positive difference in the world. The compassion and desire to help others who are in need can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment, and it can also be a way to make a positive impact on the world.

The We're Here organization plays a vital role in many communities. Our team and supporters can significantly impact the lives of individuals and the broader society. Not only do we provide immediate assistance to those in need, but we also work to empower them to improve their long-term prospects through employment and education. Providing immediate and longer-term support can be a very effective way to help those facing challenges and improve their overall quality of life. By encouraging people to seek employment and education opportunities, you can help them build the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and achieve their goals. There are many different ways you can get involved in supporting those who are seeking employment and education, including volunteering your time at one of our job training workshops, donating money to help increase the reach of these services, or working with us to grow our mentorship program or other support programs. Whatever you choose to do, know that your efforts are making a difference and are greatly appreciated.
